Flips are NOT:

Cash or currency with independent value

Transferable to bank accounts

A form of cryptocurrency

Guaranteed to maintain value

Per BarterFlip Terms of Service: Unused Flips may expire after extended inactivity. Users are solely responsible for their own tax reporting obligations on the fair market value of services exchanged.

1 Flip ≈ $1 USD in service value. This is a community guideline, not a financial exchange rate. Sellers set their own prices (5–500 Flips) based on time, skill level, and market demand. Our Pricing Calculator helps you find the right value.

When you place an order, Flips are held by BarterFlip in escrow. They are only released to the seller after you confirm the work is complete. If there's a dispute, our moderation team reviews the case before any Flips move.

When a service is completed, 10% of the Flips are permanently retired from circulation. This keeps the Flip supply controlled and prevents inflation. Sellers receive 90% — for a 50 Flip order, the seller earns 45 Flips.

Flips earned through completed services do not expire while you remain active on the platform. Welcome bonus Flips and other promotional Flips may expire after 18 months of account inactivity. Stay active and they stay yours.

Almost any legal, community-positive skill is welcome — tutoring, design, cooking, handyman work, photography, music lessons, programming, language lessons, fitness coaching, and hundreds more. All listings are reviewed to ensure they meet our community standards.

You can open a dispute before releasing escrow. Our moderation team will review the evidence from both parties and make a fair decision. We take all disputes seriously to maintain community trust.
